Thank you to everyone who applied for a position on the AFEC Committee for 2012. We am pleased to say that the quality of the applications was to a very high standard. After interviewing the applications, the returning officers have now confirmed the final nomination list.

Please note that AFEC will not be signing up new members during the election period to ensure fairness to the election process.

With the Annual General Meeting (AGM) happening next term, applications for Executive and Director positions for the AFEC Committee 2012 are now open. Details of the application process are outlined within this edition of the newsletter along with specific information on each available position from the current Execs and Directors so you have more of an idea of which position you would suit/prefer more.

CA Achiever Work Experience Program

The Institute of Chartered Accountants with AFEC will be running an information stall for the Achiever Work Experience Program in Manning Clarke Centre tomorrow at 12pm Wednesday 31st August. Come along to get advice and have your questions about the program answered. There will be many prizes to be won, so make sure you come along!

The Achiever Work Experience Program is an unmissable opportunity for 1st Year Single Degree and 2nd Year Double degree students studying commerce, to gain valuable work experience with some of the top employers in the world. The experience and skills you gain by completing the program could help you land a full or part-time job throughout university, and gives you an edge over students in securing a summer vacation or graduate position at the end of you degree.
